Depending on where you are in the country, it may or may not be starting to feel like Spring. As a winter-hater myself, the warm weather never seems to come soon enough. In North Carolina, the trees are blooming and the outdoor temperatures have been dancing between the 60s and mid-70s which means Spring is right around the corner. Therefore, I bring you my natural spring makeup tutorial.
With a new season, it’s time to start re-thinking your everyday makeup looks. Gone are the days of dark lips and smoky eyes. This is the season for bronzed skin, pink cheeks, and bright lips. While there are a million spring makeup looks that I could show you how to do, I thought I would start with something practical and easy to apply.
Watch the video below here. I also have a 15 second reel on my Instagram for the less patient folks out there. But this look takes under 10 minutes with only 9 products and is perfect for both Spring and Summer.
Hopefully, you watched the video to see how to accomplish my natural spring makeup look but now I am going to give a brief overview and review of the products that I used.

1. OLE HENRICKSEN Banana Bright Face Primer
This face primer is perfect for the summer, and really, all year round. It smells delicious and reminds me of summer, applies easily and leaves your skin looking radiant and smooth. It has vitamin C in it, so I will sub this for my vitamin C serum if I will be wearing makeup that day. This primer leaves your pores looking small and makeup lasting all day long

2. ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation
It wouldn’t be a natural spring makeup tutorial without this foundation. For summer and spring, I am all about light coverage. This foundation is a super light, hydrating formula that will perfect your skin without making it look like you’re wearing a ton of makeup. It looks just like your skin! With just a couple drops, you can even your skin tone and hide minor imperfections all while your skin still is peeking through. It is perfect for a beach or summer vacation, doesn’t feel like you are wearing a lot on your face and gives you that 40 SPF that you need this time of year!

3. UNDONE BEAUTY Water Bronzer
This water-based, cream bronzer is just what you need for a glowy, skin-focused look. The best part about it is that it is only $10 and you can get it on Amazon. It applies like a dream, blends easily, and is great for those with dehydrated skin (like yours truly).

4. NUDESTIX Nudies Matte Blush and Bronze
This blush stick was one I didn’t try until recently and has now made it to my holy grail product list. Perfect for a natural, spring, or summer look—this blush gives you that nice kissed-by-the-sun color. Better yet, it comes in this cute tin container with a built-in mirror. Even if you don’t keep the box, the lid is a great mirror to throw into your bag.

5. TARTE Lights Camera Flashes Mascara
To be real with you all, this mascara is not my absolute favorite. I was religiously using the Tarte Maneater mascara for pretty much all of last year (under the rare occurrence I would actually wear makeup) and they decided to break my heart and discontinue it. I bought this one in hopes of finding a replacement but it fell short. It’s a good mascara but after the first use, I find it gets a bit too clumpy for my taste. But it gets pretty good reviews across the board so perhaps this is an unpopular opinion.

6. M.A.C. Give Me Sun Bronzer
While this bronzer is beautiful for a summer glow, for this look I actually used it as an eyeshadow. It’s a gorgeous warm brown shade with a skin finish. I love it as a bronzer on my face but in this case, it was perfect for the eyes. I brushed it aggressively all over my lid and it give me just what I am looking for for this spring or summer look.
P.S.A: I know the photo makes it look orange, but I swear it doesn’t look like that in real life. Although, I will say that it will be most flattering on tanner/medium skin tones. Super fair gals may want to opt for a more subtle bronzer.

7. MAYBELLINE FaceStudio Master Strobing Stick
I have always loved a good cream highlight. This one is a product that I honestly have just used cause I have it laying around, it’s definitely not my favorite. The formula doesn’t blend great and the color looks too pink, but it does the job. And for $8 bucks, it’s hard to pass it up.

8. BENEFIT High Brow Eyebrow Highlighting Pencil
But…we aren’t going to be using it for our brows (you can if you want, though). I have had this eyebrow highlighter for as long as I can remember. It honestly is great for what it is designed to do—give your brow a nice lift. However, my favorite use for it is in the bottom waterline of the eye. I used to do this with a white pencil to make my eyes look bigger and brighter but always found that a white was just too stark and unnatural looking. And then I met this eyebrow pencil. It is the perfect flesh color with a little bit of brightness—just enough to open up your eyes and give them a little extra oomph. I highly recommend this pencil to anyone with eyebrows or eyes 😉

9. M.A.C. Soar Lip Pencil
This lip pencil is a tried and true part of my routine. I got it when I worked at M.A.C. years ago and we have been inseparable ever since. It looks just like my lips with a tad of extra pink (perfect for spring) and one pencil will last you forever. As gross as it sounds, I am still using the same one that I have for all of these years. I often will just line my lips with this guy and call it good but for this look, it goes perfectly with the Nudies blush stick we used on our cheeks. I put that on my lips and together, they make for the perfect spring pout.
